Short version: post real campus stuff, treat people like classmates, and remember that anonymous isn't consequence-free. Content that breaks these rules gets removed and accounts that keep breaking them get banned. The legal parts are further down; the important ones are that you're responsible for what you post, we're not liable for what other students post or for events they organize, and disputes go to individual arbitration.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and VibeTemp LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"), covering your use of the AurariaGO app, the aurariago.com website, and the Community section (together, the "Service"). By creating a Community account, tapping to accept during sign-up, or posting content, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you don't agree, don't use the Community — the rest of the app needs no account and no agreement beyond the app stores' own terms, although Sections 8 through 17 still apply to your use of it.
Please read Section 15 (Dispute Resolution) carefully. It requires individual arbitration of most disputes and waives class actions and jury trials, and it tells you how to opt out.
2. Eligibility and Your Account
- The Community is for verified students of CU Denver, MSU Denver, and CCD. Sign-up requires an email address from one of those schools that you are authorized to use.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Community. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and permits you to use the Community.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in codes to yourself; you are responsible for everything that happens on your account, and you must tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
- Your handle and profile must not impersonate another person, a school, or an organization, and must follow the content rules below.
- You may not create a new account to evade a suspension or ban.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Community Rules
These apply to everything you post — events, posts, replies, photos, messages, profiles, and handles:
- Keep it real. Post genuine campus events and honest posts. No spam, scams, chain content, pyramid or referral schemes, or commercial advertising.
- No harassment. No bullying, threats, hate speech, slurs, or targeting of any person or group, including in direct messages.
- No adult content. No nudity or sexually explicit material of any kind, in text or images. Every uploaded photo is automatically screened, and violations are removed without warning.
- Nothing illegal or dangerous. No content promoting violence, self-harm, illegal drug sales, weapons, or other unlawful activity, and no events that would violate campus policy or the law.
- No doxxing. Don't post anyone's private information — names paired with schedules, addresses, phone numbers, or photos of people taken to shame them.
- No impersonation or misinformation presented as fact — including fake events.
- Respect other people's rights. Only post content you created or have permission to share — that includes photos, flyers, and other people's images.
You also agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, or harvest content or data from the Service, or access it through any automated means other than the official app;
- circumvent rate limits, moderation, verification, or other safeguards;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or our servers;
- upload malware or attempt to disrupt or overload the Service; or
- use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and repeat or serious offenses end the account.
4. Anonymity Is Not Immunity
The Anonymous boards never show your name to other students — that's a promise built into our servers. But every anonymous post is privately linked to the account that wrote it, and the rules above apply with full force. Abusing anonymity to harass or spam gets your account banned just as fast as doing it under your handle. As described in the Privacy Policy, we will identify the account behind an anonymous post when required by a valid legal request or when we believe in good faith it is necessary to prevent imminent harm.
5. Your Content
You own what you post ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize and reformat (for example, creating thumbnails and previews), display, and distribute Your Content within the Service so the Community can function, and to retain copies as described in the Privacy Policy. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual backup copies and the minimal moderation records described in the Privacy Policy. You represent that you have all rights needed to post Your Content and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about AurariaGO (including through the in-app feedback board), you agree we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
6. Moderation and Enforcement
- Every post, event, and message can be reported (the ⋯ menu). We aim to review reported content within 24 hours.
- Content reported by three different students is hidden automatically pending review.
- Concerns involving the safety of a minor are handled first. Our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and how to report, are at aurariago.com/child-safety.html.
- Every uploaded photo is screened by an automated system at the moment of posting; flagged images are removed immediately and the poster's ability to post is paused. Text and handles are checked against an automated word filter.
- You can block any user to stop seeing their content, and hide any individual post.
- We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion, with or without notice, to keep the Community safe or to comply with the law. If you believe something was removed in error, email us.
Other than the automated checks above, we do not pre-screen content. Content in the Community is created by students, not by us, and we do not endorse it and are not responsible for it. We have no obligation to monitor the Service, but we may do so.
7. Events, Meetups, and Interactions Between Students
Events on AurariaGO are posted and organized by students, not by VibeTemp LLC. We do not verify events, organizers, or attendees, and we are not a party to anything that happens at an event or between students, online or in person. If you attend an event or meet someone you found through the Service, you do so at your own risk. Use the same judgment you would anywhere else: meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and contact campus police or 911 in an emergency.
AurariaGO is not a crisis or emergency service and does not provide medical, mental health, or legal advice. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you are struggling, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or contact your school's counseling center.
8. Automated and AI Features
Two parts of AurariaGO use artificial intelligence, and you should know where. The Campus Assistant answers questions using a language model that runs on your device; its answers are generated automatically, are not reviewed by a person, and can be wrong or out of date. Verify hours, prices, and locations with the campus before relying on them. Photo screening uses an automated classifier to check uploads for prohibited content; it can make mistakes in either direction. If your content was removed by mistake, email us and a person will review it. We do not use AI to make decisions about your enrollment, grades, employment, housing, credit, or any other consequential decision about you, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
9. Copyright Complaints
We respect copyright and respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email us at vibetempllc@gmail.com with the subject "DMCA" and include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the infringing content and where it appears in the app; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will remove content that is the subject of a valid notice and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
10. Our Content and Trademarks
The app, the website, the campus map, the Campus Assistant, and our text, graphics, logos, and code are owned by VibeTemp LLC or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "AurariaGO" and the AurariaGO logo are our marks. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on a device you own or control for its intended purpose. Campus information in the app is compiled from publicly available sources and is provided for convenience only.
11. Termination
You can leave at any time by deleting your account in the app, which removes your content as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or create risk for other users, with or without notice. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 through 17 survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT, EVENT, CLASS TIME, BUILDING HOUR, PARKING RATE, ROUTE, OR CAMPUS ASSISTANT ANSWER IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.
Events and posts are written by students, not by us, and we don't vouch for their accuracy — verify anything important before showing up somewhere. Class reminders depend on the schedule you entered and on your device delivering notifications; do not rely on them as your only reminder. AurariaGO is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Auraria Higher Education Center, CU Denver, MSU Denver, or CCD.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VIBETEMP LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM (A) CONTENT POSTED OR SENT BY OTHER USERS, (B) ANY EVENT, MEETING, OR INTERACTION WITH ANOTHER USER, (C) YOUR RELIANCE ON CAMPUS INFORMATION OR REMINDERS IN THE APP, OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT OR CONTENT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTY DOLLARS (US $50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of Sections 12 and 13 may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VibeTemp LLC and its members, managers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to Your Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any person, including any event you organize or attend through the Service.
15. Dispute Resolution — Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with us, email vibetempllc@gmail.com with a description of the problem and what you want us to do. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve it informally, you and VibeTemp LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitration will be held in Denver, Colorado, or by video or phone if you prefer. AAA's rules and fee schedule are at adr.org; we will pay the filing and arbitrator fees to the extent the AAA consumer rules require. The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.
Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction in court to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service.
No class actions. YOU AND VIBETEMP LLC EACH AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU ALSO WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim will be severed and proceed in court, and the remainder of this section still applies.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing vibetempllc@gmail.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your account's school email address within 30 days of first creating a Community account. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Time limit. To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. For any dispute that is not subject to arbitration under Section 15, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Denver, Colorado, and waive any objection to that venue.
17. App Store Terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies. These Terms are between you and VibeTemp LLC only, not Apple Inc. or Google LLC (each an "App Store Provider"). The App Store Provider has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, is not responsible for any product warranty, product liability, intellectual property, or legal or regulatory claim relating to the app, and is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app. To the extent the App Store Provider's terms are more protective of the App Store Provider, those terms control. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify Community members in the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Community after changes take effect means the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree, delete your account.
19. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms or your account. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the Service.
- Electronic communications. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, in the app or by email, and that these communications satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
- Independence. AurariaGO is a student-built project of VibeTemp LLC; no school, campus authority, or student government is a party to these Terms.
